New 2015 AFC Festival Venue & Expo

In 2015, AFC will be adding a new opening venue to the its Festival program - at one of Vancouver's premiere hotels located steps from the iconic conference center and Canada Place world trade center, the business district and cruise ship terminal.

AFC Celebrates First International Bear Day

We are excited to be celebrating the first ever International Bear Day this coming Saturday (April 4th). In recognition of the day, AFC will be showing its support with the organizers of the inaugural event: Raincoast Conservation Foundation  and North Shore Black Bear Society at Capilano University in North Vancouver. Although AFC is not organizing this particular event, it is participating.

AFC Tour Wraps Up in Arizona Achieving Milestone in Art Sales and Funds Raised

In March, AFC wrapped up a very successful tour stop to Tucson's top attraction - the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum (ASDM) - a facility that uniquely combines a zoo, botanical garden, art gallery, natural history museum, and aquarium over 98 acres of desert habitat.The museum also has a large conservation and research program that work towards the conservation of the Sonora Desert region. The museum's Art Institute fosters an appreciation in the use of fine art as a vehicle for conservation awareness and support.

Rob Butler Honored with Prestigious Conservation Award

AFC's Dr. Rob Butler was awarded the Vancouver Aquarium's 2015 Murray A. Newman Award for 'Significant Achievement in Aquatic Conservation'.

In the Field Series: Alison Nicholls Part 1

In 2007, Alison Nicholls spent 6 weeks with the Painted Dog Conservation project in Zimbabwe, tracking and sketching highly endangered African wild dogs during her Artists For Conservation Flag Expedition. This is the 1st of a 3-part blog series about the expedition and how the experience changed her art and support for African conservation.

2014 - A Year in Review

2014 was another very exciting year in the growth and development of the world's leading artist group supporting the environment - Artists for Conservation. We saw a new Flag Expedition, AFC's 7th exhibit and 4th festival, a new annual event pilot in South Florida, a group expedition to the Caymans, a conservation symposium, the establishment of International Bear Day, a new Christmas exhibit and much more, not the least of which was another beautiful hardcover book and wall calendar.

AFC Exhibit Set to Open in Arizona
