Pickering Paintings Stolen

We are appealing for any information which will help in the return of two of Pollyanna Pickerings original paintings which have been stolen from a gallery in Lincolnshire, England.

Stolberger and Glen Show at Houston Zoo
Auction of Works at Houston Zoo Show To Be Donated

Sue Stolberger and Rob Glen will be donating all of the proceeds from the auction of several paintings and a bronze to the Ruaha Conservation Fund for the construction of the new Environmental Center, the only one of its kind in this remote area of Tanzania.

Sue and Rob will exhibit at the Houston Zoo. It will be open to the public from April 28th to May 7th 2006. Sue will be present at the show every day.

Sue will have approximately 25 paintings in water-colour and oil on display. Rob Glen her partner will display about the same number of bronzes.


WNAG To Honour First Recipient of the Simon Combes Award
David Shepherd, renowned artist and conservationist is the first recipient of the Simon Combes Award for Conservation.

This spring, the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum near New York City, will host a special exhibit showcasing the work of wildlife artist and adventurer Simon Combes, the man who inspired the Worldwide Nature Artists Group (WNAGTM) to create the award which bears his name.

Peter Gray Design Chosen for Trophy

Congratulations to Peter Gray in South Africa whose submission for the WNAG Simon Combes Conservation Award trophy was selected as the design for this annual award. We had several excellent submissions for which we are most grateful. Special thanks goes to Charles Allmond and Tim Nicklin who had prepared complete maquettes of their proposed trophy designs.

Children's Book Purchased for BC Kintergardens
Andrew Kiss Book sells 50,000 copies

The Ministry of Education of British Columbia has purchased 50,000 copies of Andrew's book "A Mountain Alphabet". It is part of a reading initiative sending copies to Kindergarten students in BC.

A black bear browsing on berries, a moose in the morning mist, a wold walking through a winter wonderland.

Each of the twenty-six paintings is dedicated to a letter of the alphabet. Young readers are invited to search each painting for animals and plants whose names start with the same letter and to find the letter of the alphabet hidden in each picture.

Kelly to Join WNAG Flag Expediton #2

Canadian Artist Kelly Dodge,WNAG, are pleased to announce that she has accepted fellow artist David Rankins invitation to join him on the WNAG Flag Expedition #2. Dodge is honoured to be travelling with David and Deanna Rankin and their team to the Indian Himalayas and the Ganges headwaters region.
