International Art and Conservation Festival Moves to Vancouver’s VanDusen Botanical Garden
2017/07/30 - Vancouver, B.C. (July 26, 2017) - Artists for Conservation (AFC) today announced it will kick-off its seventh annual AFC Festival and international art exhibit at the VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver, BC. Presented by RE/MAX, the festival will officially open on November 9, with a special ticketed reception and four more days of art and environmental-themed programming featuring the world's foremost conservation-themed art exhibit. The event will also feature live music, films, presentations, workshops, live art demonstrations and wildlife encounters.

Banovich Establishes New $100,000 Conservation Award
2017/07/29 - AFC Signature Member, John Banovich has established a new major award through the Banovich Wildscapes Foundation - the Award for Conservation Excellence (ACE). The purpose of the award is to recognize the exceptional contributions made by some of the world's leading conservationists and is intended to become the most significant award in the conservation arena.A call for nominations is now open through August 31, 2017. AFC Announces New Exhibit in Qingdao China
2017/06/05 - Vancouver, BC., CANADA - June 12, 2017 - Artists for Conservation (AFC) is pleased to announce a new partnership and special exhibit tour to mainland China this summer. Following a tour in North America, AFC's international exhibit will be exhibited at the Lanwan Art Museum at Lanwan Eco Art Park - a 50-acre ecological park, monumental sculpture garden, art village and public gallery, located in one of China's most beautiful and important coastal cities - Qingdao City.

Truss Paints Massive Tusker for Conservation
2016/12/07 - AFC Signature Member, Jonathan Truss is deeply concerned about the plight of elephants. Elephants figure in many of Jonathan's paintings, but in his latest, he has attempted a world first - to paint a full-bodied "Big Tusker" elephant life size on canvas! He recently completed the painting, titled 'Tusker's Last Stand' and is using it to raise funds and awareness for elephant conservation.

2016/11/18 - Vancouver, BC., CANADA - November 17, 2016 - Artists for Conservation (AFC) is pleased to announce the opening of its touring exhibit at one of the most remarkable art/science institutions on the planet - the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum (ASDM) - a facility that uniquely combines a zoo, botanical garden, art gallery, natural history museum, and aquarium over 98 acres of desert habitat.

Jesic Wins First Prize at 2016 ARC Exhibit
2016/11/17 - Stephen Jesic, AFC Signature Member from Australia recently won First Place in the Animal Category at the 2016 ARC Art Renewal Center's Annual International ARC Salon Competition. Stephen's artwork "Jewel of the Amazon" - also featured in AFC's 2016 Virtual Exhibit - placed among the top of some 3,196 entries by over 1300 artists. The Animal Category in the 12th International ARC Salon represents 106 entries out of the 282 works entered into this category.

AFC 2016 Festival in Review
2016/11/14 - This September 29 through October 5, AFC completed its 6th annual Artists for Conservation Festival, celebrating nature's beauty and diversity, with a spectacular art exhibit and a host of inspiring art and environmental education programs. The event welcomed public of all ages with a variety of interests - fine art, environment and conservation.

Anne London Presents Paintings to Botswanan President
2016/11/11 - AFC Signature Member, Anne London recently presented the Botswanan Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Tshekedi Khamato, and Botswanan President, Ian Khama two of her original paintings to recognize their courageous efforts to protect Botswana's wildlife for future generations. The artworks illustrate lions, as a representative of all of Africa's wildlife and their struggle to survive against the threats of Wildlife poaching and trophy hunting. The two original paintings are valued at $14,000 USD each.

Bateman Returns as AFC Festival Patron
2016/08/21 - Robert Bateman, world-renowned nature artist is returning for a fourth time as Festival Patron of the Artists for Conservation Festival on Grouse Mountain, in North Vancouver, BC. In support, he has created another new original painting for this year's event - a three-foot by four-foot oil painting on Canvas titled, "Feast - Vultures".
