AFC's annual Festival informs and inspires the public to conserve our natural heritage through visual arts, lectures, films, and workshops. Since 2011, the AFC Festival has toured internationally. Join us this fall in Vancouver.

AFC has supported over 15 Flag Expeditions since 2005. Fostering collaborative art and science field work to study and promote the preservation of endangered species and their vanishing habitats. 

Artists for Conservation connects youth with nature thorough art and environmental education. In 2018, AFC launched the first virtual youth education program with schools. The youth "Silent Skies" mural project. Over 1600 youth from across B.C. participated.

AFC's annual exhibit is the world's premiere conservation-themed juried exhibit in the world today. International artists compete for the honor to participate, which raises funds for conservation & tours to world class venues. Join us this fall in Vancouver.

AFC's "Silent Skies Mural" tour at Arizona-Sonora Desert Musem. Open May 25th to Sept 29th, 2019. The mural features 678 endangered bird species by 160 AFC artists. The original was unveiled at AFC's 2018 Festival.

AFC Exhibit Returns to China
2019/10/05 - Vancouver, BC., Canada - October 4th, 2019 - Artists for Conservation (AFC) is pleased to announce the forthcoming return of its annual exhibit at Lanwan Art Museum in Qingdao, China. The exhibit represents the final leg of AFC's 2018 exhibit that originally premiered at Vancouver's Convention Centre in August, 2018 and was most recently featured at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.

2019/09/13 - The 2019 AFC Festival opens Satuday, September 14 at Maplewood Flats Nature House in North Vancouver (2649 Dollarton Highway, NV) Join AFC for two days of art, music and wildlife in a beautiful natural setting. Get a sneak peak at some of the activities coming in two weeks time. Safari Supports AFC and Soysambu Boma Project
2019/07/22 - AFC artist and 2018 recipient of the Simon Combes Award (AFC's highest honor), Guy Combes is leading an art safari in Kenya now, with several Artists for Conservation members and supporters in-tow. Jackson's African Safaris (Timothy Jackson) organized the expedition to raise funds and support for AFC, the Soysambu Conservancy's Boma Project and a new film about the lions of Soysambu.
AFC Mourns the Loss of Terry Isaac
2019/07/19 - It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Terry Isaac, our dear friend, Master Wildlife Artist, instructor, and talented musician. Terry passed away suddenly on July 16th. As many of you know, Terry Isaac has been renowned wildlife artist since a very young age. He developed a large international following in the 1980s and has part of the AFC community for nearly two decades. During that time he advanced the genera of Wildlife Art internationally as a popular instructor through his workshops and publications.

2019/07/12 - Vancouver, BC CANADA - July 12, 2019 - Artists for Conservation (AFC) is pleased to announce the award winners of the twelfth annual AFC International Exhibit of Nature in Art to be held this September 26 - 29 in Vancouver, BC. The awards include five AFC Medals of Excellence, which recognizes at least five outstanding artworks in the exhibit, an Environmental Statement Award, and Interpretive/Abstract Award. AFC also presents two Best in Show awards, in recognition of the highest scoring painting and sculpture by the jury panel in the annual exhibit.

AFC Announces New Venue Partner in Florida
2019/05/09 - Vancouver, BC., CANADA - May 9, 2019 - Artists for Conservation (AFC) is pleased to announce a new partnership and special exhibit tour at the James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art in St. Petersburg, Florida. The exhibit is scheduled to run from March through May, 2021, and featuring artwork from the 2020 edition of AFC's annual juried exhibit.

Silent Skies Mural Tours to Arizona
2019/04/05 - We're pleased to announce the opening of our second Silent Skies Mural touring exhibit at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. A full replica display will be installed in the Baldwin Education Building and unveiled on May 25, 2019. The exhibit will remain in place for public viewing through September 29 of this year.  See the mural online.
