Werner Rentsch

Werner Rentsch's passion for wildlife conservation frequently leads him to East Africa where he is inspired to communicate through his paintings the magnificence and fragility of the animals living there. During the last decade he has experienced firsthand the diminishing quantity of certain wildlife through both organized big-game poaching, local bush-meat hunting, and encroaching misuse of wildlife conservation areas.
Werner is also known for his earlier paintings of equine subjects and served for many years as President of the American Academy of Equine Art.
